In 1979, Arnold became a United States Citizen. Arnold grew up in Ruleville, Mississippi, and is a graduate of Delta State University. Upon graduation from DSU, Arnold moved on to the University of Mississippi and graduated from Ole Miss Law School. After law school, Arnold returned home to the Mississippi Delta where he accepted a position as a staff attorney for the Eleventh Circuit Court District, serving under Judges John L.
